Anykščiai is located in north-eastern Lithuania and has the potential of natural resort resources suitable for the development of curative (sanatorium) recreation. Natural resources suitable for tourism and recreation are comprised of natural landscape elements or those of anthropogenic origin or only anthropogenized elements (ponds, parks, etc.) and combinations thereof: green spaces, bodies of water, and geomorfological structures. The most important curative factor in Anykščiai is dry pine forests, where fresh air saturated with phytoncides creates excellent conditions for climatic rehabilitation. In Anykščiai, there is a curative mineral water spring used for curative bath procedures.

Ignalina is located in north-eastern Lithuania, and the villages of Palūšė and Strigailiškis are distinguished for their climatic conditions, recreational resources suitable for recreation and active rest. There are preconditions attached to providing balneotherapy procedures in the district.

Trakai represents an area rich in lakes, where conditions are provided for the development of tourism and recreation. In Trakai, there are natural landscape elements or those of anthropogenic origin or only anthropogenized elements (ponds, parks, etc.) and combinations thereof: green spaces, bodies of water, and valuable landscape complexes. One of the curative factors in Trakai is the forest, 87% of which is comprised of conifers, and fresh air saturated with phytoncides offers excellent conditions for climatic rehabilitation.

Zarasai is situated in the lowlands, in north-eastern Lithuania, which is distinguished for its picturesque landscape, fixed recreational environment and favourable microclimate.
